Come and learn the art of Virtual Production at Escape Studios – for free. Escape Studios has embraced the new phenomenon of Virtual Production by offering several free courses in partnership with some of the leading companies working at the forefront of this area.
The “Introduction to Virtual Production” course led by Escape’s Clem Gharini, has seen presentations from Third Floor Inc, Final Pixel, Halon Entertainment, DNEG and Bild Studios.
A keynote session by Peter Kirkup, Solutions director at Disguise kicked off the course, with our audience of Directors and Producers also getting the chance to work on a Virtual Production LED panel volume.
“The purpose of the course is to get the UK’s high-end tv industry ready for virtual production” said Escape’s Dean of Industry Engagement Saint John Walker “The more TV professionals gain practical experience of this technology and become familiar with the UK’s best VP studios, the more competitive the UK will be”
As well as learning from some of the UK’s experts in virtual production, the participants will be shooting material at Garden Studios and the MARS Volume.
The course was funded through support from ScreenSkills as part of the BFI Future Film Skills programme using funds from the National Lottery.
As an Authorized Training Centre for Unreal Engine, Escape Studios is now one of the leading trainers in Virtual Production for a variety of audiences.
