VFX Metal Playlist – made just for you.

Greetings. I’ve made a playlist of metal music for you, all sorts of metal music. I was going to focus on one genre of metal, but that would mean I’d have to miss out too many amazing songs. I’m using the word “song” loosely here, as I’m not sure growling counts for songs, perhaps “tune” is what I should be calling it. Anyhow, I have put together an awesome playlist ranging from oldies to some contemporary mixo weird stuff, all very rockin though. I recommend listening to these tunes loud, but not loud enough to upset your neighbors, probably safest to use headphones.

Music has helped me to deal with every situation in life. From the highs to the lows, music is always there. We should consider ourselves fortunate as we’re in an industry where we work on computers, it allows us to be creative, we can work from home, we have access to software for free in most cases and we have amazing things like YouTube at out finger tips. Try to take a few moments each day to think about the things you are fortunate for, even in this situation. I had a bad ankle injury in January as i was on crutches for months. Now that I have spent a week at home resting my ankle actually feels much better which is amazing, plus I get to spend more quality time with my wife and kids who are growing up so fast.

Knowledge will come to you. It will come to anyone who persists in any given area, but initially it’s most important to be inspired. Here is a playlist that has inspired me as an artist for the last 20 years and continues to inspire me today. Music helps me to get into character to perform well as an artist. I listen to all sorts of music in my day to day life, from EDM when I’m cycling, to metal when making art/VFX/sculpting to the Disney soundtrack when I am driving my kids to school. So, get some great tunes playing and use the next few months to produce some fantastic art.
