All About the “Escapeverse”

 

Our tutors come from industry, ensuring that they understand not just the theory behind their craft but also the practical day-to-day reality of surviving in industry.  Many of our tutors are themselves former Escapees, so they understand what we do.

We don’t recruit our tutors at Escape solely on the basis of academic qualifications (though these do matter), rather we look for well-rounded individuals who are highly skilled at their craft and also have great communication skills.  Many of our tutors are themselves former Escapees, so they understand intimately what we do and how our courses are structured. Kevin Richards at Pop Paper City

Many of our tutors continue to work in industry as freelancers, or move from industry to Escape (and back again). One example is animation tutor Kevin Richards, recently a lead animator at Pop Paper City, who was also able to recruit many Escapees to work on the show – a symbiotic relationship which benefitted both Pop Paper City and (of course) our Escapees.
