We’re delighted to welcome back VFX artist Ilaria Colavito to Escape Studios to teach 3D VFX to our “level 6” (ie third year) undergraduate students this year.
Ilaria Colavito joins us from the London VFX house Freefolk where she worked as a 3D Generalist on a number of TV series including Anansi Boys and Kaos. Ilaria is an Escapee who took our 3D VFX MA with industry veteran Dan Shutt. While at Escape Studios Ilaria directed the award-winning short film Mechamorphosis, utilising a variety of 3D techniques.

The Third Year at Escape Studios is where our VFX students take everything they have learned in their first two years of undergraduate study and create professional-quality work.
Professional Portfolio
In their Third Year Students develop a portfolio of work that will enable them to start their careers in industry, and also gain enough experience on group projects to work effectively in teams, to tight deadlines.
Three Modules
The Third Year at Escape Studios (Level 6) has three modules running all year long, worth a total of 120 credits:
- CR6001 – Specialism Module (30 Credits)
- PR6001 – Studio Project (60 Credits)
- PS6003 – Professional Practice (30 Credits)
