This fantastic film, great script and wonderful acting, was written by Theo Toksvig-Stewart and stars Paterson Joseph and Sandi Toksvig. 😍

Fourteen Escape Studios Year 2 and Year 3 VFX Compositing Students 🤗 worked on the film under the VFX Supervision of Klaudija Cermak Programme Leader for VFX/VFX Compositing Lecturer over 6 months at the weekends to complete 60 shots in exchange for credits.

Special thank you to The Foundry for letting us use Nuke licenses for this project.

Special thank you to Sam Dawes for introducing us to the Director and trusting us to do the work. 🙂

In the words of the writer:

Detective McGuin, a broody, take-it-as-it-comes, Leslie Neilson Naked Gun-esque detective and his sock-monster monster partner, McBride, have their prime suspect in the interrogation room. The suspect, Beng, is the partner of the recently deceased Vicky Tim; sock-monsters both. Beng is erratic, angry and doesn’t take too kindly to “fleshies”, let alone fleshy Coppers. The questioning begins as photos of the crime scene are laid across the table. The detectives have Beng cornered. They have him down for anger-management issues, a volatile relationship with the victim and a motive. It’s all too easy. But before the coppers can deliver the killer blow, Beng clams up; he wants a lawyer. Chaos ensues.—Theo Toksvig-Stewart
