With the Easter holidays just around the corner, the first-year students at Escape are working tirelessly to complete their first VFX projects!
During this module, students are introduced to the fundamentals of creating 3D assets for use in a visual effects pipeline.
From having little or no prior experience, they develop a solid foundation in 3D skills. Through intensive, hands-on projects, they begin mastering the latest 3D software and techniques, including modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering.

As with every first-year, Term 2 module, each student must complete a project to be assessed. For the VFX module, they have been given the exciting challenge of recreating a real-world object of their choice and presenting a digital replica as accurately and faithfully as possible.
The range of projects is diverse and inspiring, and we’re excited to showcase some of them here. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the hard work and dedication of these talented young artists—who are already showing great promise for whatever path they’ll choose!
