In this specialist webinar our Senior VFX Tutor, Allar Kaasik, will demonstrate how to add extra realism to compositing shots by improving lighting in 2D. We will start of by showing you the principles of how lighting and shading are calculated in 3D and the “classic” relighting techniques that use utility passes of CG renders to add a extra lighting effects.
However, a lot of the times we composite 2D elements that were not made in a 3D software. Allar will show you a few extra “hacks” to see if we we could reapply some of those 3D techniques when working with just 2D footage.
