“Our Ocean” Wins “Best 1st Time Director” at Halicarnassus Festival

Congratulations to the makers of “Our Ocean“, which has won an award for “Best First-Time Director” at the Halicarnassus Film Festival.

Our Ocean was created by our fourth year VFX and animation students, studying the Art of Computer Animation and VFX, and working together on group projects such as this one.

Written and Directed by Priya Shah, and produced by Ethen Dent, Our Ocean was a collaboration with the charity “Ocean Generation“. This is the film’s fourth festival award.

Our Ocean was created by our fourth year animation and vfx students, studying the Art of Computer Animation and VFX, collaborating together to reproduce (as closely as possible) the workings of a live industry production brief.

Fish City Festival

Dex and Troy are young sea turtles attending the 500th Anniversary of the Fish City Festival, an annual underwater celebration where they meet their angel fish friend Maya. Tragically, careless human activity from above threatens the festival with catastrophe.

Our Ocean was created by VFX and animation students in the fourth year of studies at Escape Studios, studying for their integrated master’s in VFX and 3D Animation.
